Welcome to
Sport Romford
Sport Romford is a way to bring people to make the most of facilities in the town and immediate locality.
Many people are still unaware Romford has clubs that play on a national level.
Romford Football Club are the current holders of the FA Vase, which they won at Wembley Stadium in May 2024 against Great Wakering Rovers 3-0
Romford Raiders Ice Hockey Club are playing teams from Swindon to Yorkshire and Scotland in the top division of the English national league.
These clubs aim to help promote clubs of all sports and venues through visiting shopping centres, schools, social clubs as well as sports grounds. Are you aware the following sports and exercise are all available to you and a some are even are free?

How we intend to do this
We are hoping to present ourselves throughout the area at different times and places with a load of promotional materials and will give the opportunity for clubs to join us for a bit more promotion still for their groups.
If we can run fundraising/awareness events, this will be well worth our while, particularly to help provide equipment for training for those unable to pay for their own. Making venues available would be very much welcomed and we have have equipment to run some of these (including bingo, quiz nights, karaoke, challenge nights, race nights, fun casinos, side shows etc.).
Some of our events being held during the winter can also be very beneficial for clubs with sports mainly played during the summer and vice versa.

Romford Raiders Ice Hockey Club will be doing promotions on the following dates:
Saturday 14th December - Romford Christmas event with BID - 12pm - 4pm
Sunday 15th December - The Brewery (potentially selling Romford Raiders merch)
Saturday 21st December - Romford Christmas Carols with BID - 3pm - 4pm
Sunday 22nd December - The Brewery
All times are 8:30 - 4:30 unless specified.
Sport Romford
Sport Romford is a plan to get people involved in sport in and around the town, by direct participation or simply spectating. This is done by identifying places it is done and what is available.
What Areas Does This Cover?
To get this going, which is likely to be on a small scale, we will just use the name of the main town at this stage. Some people may be surprised that some of these places actually come under Romford, as Barking & Dagenham council encourage residents in their borough to write their address as 'Dagenham'. Either way, clubs and venues in all the named areas will be treated in the same way.
Becontree Heath, Chadwell Heath, Collier Row, Gidea Park, Harold Hill, Harold Park, Mark's Gate, Noak Hill, Rise Park, Romford, Rush Green
Are You Part of A Club?
We need permission to name any club on here and venues, so we would welcome names of those clubs plus an email address for people to get in touch with the relevant group. We cannot direct people to websites on here, unfortunately, because of restrictions we have (Romford FC Supporters' Club & Romford Raiders IHC Supporters' Club are excepted as they will be doing the promotion on your club's behalf).
Romford Raiders IHC are currently doing promotional days around Romford, particularly in the Brewery Centre. Keep an eye on dates.
